Clinical Mental Health Therapist
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at a residential mental health and substance abuse treatment facility. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field and possess appropriate state licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, or PhD). This position involves providing individual, group, and family therapy to residents dealing with complex mental health and substance use disorders in a 24/7 structured environment.
Job Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, mental status exams, and treatment planning upon intake.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, MI, trauma-informed care).
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and case management teams to develop and implement integrated care plans.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and case consultations.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments, including suicide and safety planning.
- Educate clients and families on mental health, substance use, relapse prevention, and recovery resources.
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care by coordinating with aftercare providers.
- Adhere to ethical standards, facility policies, and confidentiality laws (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2).
